Leaving, getting lost, gathering and getting lost again.
The ʻPosture of Reverieʼ, as Alessandro Roma loves to refer to it, allows us to grasp what we cannot recognise immediately, by taking leaps and jumps, side paths of vision and free associations.     This can lead us to generous experiences, rich as unexpected discoveries offering us a special heuristic opening, without the need of validating what we had speculated about.   In this exhibition the body tells, then abdicates and then comes back, in an unceasing waving movement. Emergences and disappearances of evanescent images, in a never predictable register, are the living substance of Alessandro Romaʼs research. In his process of artistic creation the mind is a web but the body is an anchor in the course of an obscure and dreamlike voyage to a ʻknow- not-whereʼ.
The physical root is firm.
The road the visitor can take, as the artist hopes, follows his process of work creation.
Look and touch explore the surface of his paintings and fabrics with their rich textures as they   do with the play on empty spaces and full shapes of the materials employed to create his vases, bas-reliefs. Our hands can slide among the pages of his synchronic storytelling, lying on  big books, while our eyes take anarchic visual leaps.
The substance leads us inside, in order to discover unknown assonances: it can lead us to blindness or revelation at the same time. The light encloses the colours, which are never stable and well-defined, and keeps us suspended for all the time we want.

Allontanarsi, perdersi, ritrovarsi, perdersi  di  nuovo.
Come ama definire Alessandro Roma, la postura della rêverie ci  consente di cogliere ciò che non è immediatamente riconoscibile, impiegando balzi e scarti, sentieri laterali di  visione e libere associazioni.
Questo può condurci a scoperte ricche e generose  quanto  inattese che ci regalano una speciale apertura euristica sul nostro modo di fare esperienza, senza la necessità di validare ciò che avevamo ipotizzato. In questa mostra il corpo dice, poi abdica e poi ritorna, in un incessante movimento ondivago.
Affioramenti   e sparizioni  di  immagini evanescenti,  in un registro mai prevedibile, sono la sostanza  viva della ricerca di  Alessandro  Roma. Nel processo  di generazione delle opere, la mente  è una rete ma il corpo è un’àncora nel corso lungo il viaggio onirico  e oscuro  per “non-si  sa-dove”.
Ma la  radice fisica è solida.
La strada  che il visitatore può intraprendere, auspicata  dall’artista, ripercorre il  suo processo di creazione. Lo sguardo e il  tocco, possono esplorare le superfici dei dipinti e dei  tessuti con le loro  ricche textures, così come infilarsi  nel gioco di vuoti e di pieni della materia con cui ha creato  vasi e  bassorilievi. Le mani  possono scivolare tra le pagine  delle sue narrative sincroniche depositate  su  grandi libri, mentre gli occhi  compiono  anarchici salti visivi. La materia ci conduce dentro, a scoprire assonanze  sconosciute:  può accecare  e svelare al contempo. La luce abbraccia i colori, mai stabili e definitivi,  e ci tiene sospesi  per tutto il tempo che si vuole.
Mimesi  della mente, non della forma.
